In order to implement the federal project of “Ensuring the timely provision of emergency medical care to citizens living in hard-to-reach areas of the Russian Federation” «Eltsovka Airlines» Closed Joint Stock Company Aviation Enterprise’’ purchased 5 new Mi-8AMT / MTV helicopters with special medical modules that allow evacuating severely ill patients, with the provision of onboard emergency resuscitation. These modules are equipped with advanced resuscitation equipment: a defibrillator with a monitoring system, an electrocardiograph, lungs ventilator, and an electric suction aspirator.

Medical helicopters have a number of significant advantages over aircraft. The main one is independence from the presence of the runway. In addition, the delivery of the patient by helicopter is possible almost to the very entrance the medical facility in the developed flight regions: Novosibirsk Region, Tomsk Region, Altai Territory.
